ALBAWABA - American human rights activist, Tyee Perry, known for his Jewish heritage, arrived in Istanbul to participate in the "Freedom Flotilla" campaign aimed at breaking the blockade on Gaza. The campaign's objective is to gather humanitarian aid and transport it to Gaza.

The organizers of "Freedom Flotilla 2" announced that the departure of the flotilla has been delayed for several days, after initially scheduled to set sail on Friday, April 26.

According to the organizing authorities, the postponement is attributed to "delays in port procedures." However, many observers speculate that there are deeper reasons behind the delay, possibly involving "international pressure on Ankara" regarding this matter

Tyee Perry made a significant announcement in the Sultanahmet Square, outside Hagia Sophia in Istanbul, declaring his conversion to Islam in front of thousands of protesters.

This declaration took place during demonstrations in support of Gaza, coinciding with massive protests in the United States condemning the genocide and calling for the lifting of the blockade on Gaza. These protests began at Columbia University and spread to over 40 other universities across the United States.
