ALBAWABA- In a challenge to the International community resolutions, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated the Israeli occupation forces' storming of the Rafah crossing from the Palestinian side as a necessary step.

Netanyahu emphasized that Hamas' proposal for a ceasefire, agreed upon yesterday, does not meet Israel's demands. He accused Hamas of attempting to prevent Israeli forces from entering Rafah, but stated that this did not succeed.

Netanyahu reiterated Israel's stance of not allowing Hamas to rebuild its military capabilities or govern the Gaza Strip. He emphasized that Israel's entry into Rafah is a crucial step, with the Israeli army aiming to eliminate four Hamas brigades in the area.

The Israeli Defense Minister echoed Netanyahu's sentiments, stating that the operation in Rafah will continue until Hamas is eliminated or the first abducted person is recovered. He emphasized Israel's readiness to negotiate for the return of the kidnapped individuals but warned of further action if necessary.

The storming of Rafah, according to Netanyahu, serves two main goals of the war: the return of Israeli captives and the elimination of Hamas. Israeli forces raised Israeli flags at the Rafah crossing and removed Hamas flags following directives from the War Council.

Netanyahu instructed the Israeli delegation in Cairo to adhere to Israel's conditions for the return of prisoners, indicating a firm stance in negotiations.
