Group of children poisoned inside swimming pool in Egypt

ALBAWABA In a shocking turn of events at a swimming club in Egypt, several children fell victim to toxic chlorine gas exposure, resulting in cases of suffocation. 

At least five children were affected within the premises of the renowned 'Al-Tersana' club, prompting immediate medical attention and evacuation to nearby hospitals for urgent treatment and first aid, as reported by  'Youm7' newspaper.

The distressing incident unfolded as the children, enjoying a day of recreation and swimming, suddenly found themselves in the grip of suffocation due to the inhalation of hazardous chlorine gas.

The exact cause of the gas release is under investigation, with initial reports suggesting a malfunction or mishap related to the swimming pool's maintenance system.

The parents of the affected children swiftly lodged a formal complaint with the local authorities, holding the responsible party accountable for the alarming situation. 

Consequently, authorities have launched a comprehensive inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the incident to ascertain accountability and prevent future occurrences of such nature.
