ALBAWABA - Recent rumors on social media said that the UAE government planned to look into engineers after it was reported that the Burj Khalifa had leant 22 millimeters as a result of flooding in Dubai, forcing visitors to evacuate.

At 828 meters tall and 160 stories high, the Burj Khalifa has been subjected to more than 40 tests that evaluate its structural integrity and resistance to wind damage. These evaluations varied from simple wind climate assessments to complex structural pressure and climate impacts analysis on different tower characteristics.

The official Burj Khalifa website states that the structure's design includes elements that are especially designed to withstand structural torsion. Together with the surrounding floor plates and columns, the core design creates a strong structural framework. Extensive walls on mechanical levels also help to withstand lateral loads on the tower.

Furthermore, it's important to remember that the UAE recently had unfavorable weather, with torrential rains starting on April 15, 2024, and continuing until April 16, 2024, causing extensive flooding across the nation.

Even though the Burj Khalifa is recognized for its strength and durability, there have been persistent claims that the famous skyscraper may collapse, prompting occupants to be told to leave the structure.

Examining official UAE government accounts reveals that no comment has been released endorsing or refuting these allegations. Furthermore, according to a number of sites, including "Meter News," the Burj Khalifa's leaning is essentially a made-up story without any supporting proof.
