ALBAWABA - Russia has formally declared that Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, is now on its wanted list. This decision was made in the middle of the continuing battle that started on February 24, 2022, when Russia attacked Ukraine.

In the middle of the current hostilities, Zelensky is the target of legal action, according to the notice made by the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs. The Ministry said that Zelensky's information has been added to their database of those who are sought, including his birthplace, date of birth, and the day he took office as president of Ukraine.

Furthermore, it has been claimed that Russia has added former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to its list of wanted individuals. The declaration, meanwhile, omitted specifics about the accusations made against Poroshenko, the president of Ukraine from 2014 to 2019.

The ministry highlighted that the International Criminal Court has issued an international arrest order for Russian President Vladimir Putin on suspicion of war crimes. Putin might face legal repercussions for what the ministry called "valueless Russian declarations," which prompted its announcement.

The ministry emphasized the gravity of the warrant by pointing out that it is enforceable in 123 nations globally. It depicted Russia's latest declaration as an indication of the country's desperation, implying that it shows a lack of other strategies to attract attention.

Geopolitical tensions in the area have become more complicated when Russia issued arrest warrants against a number of Ukrainian and European officials following the start of the conflict with Ukraine in February 2022.
