ALBAWABA - Today, amid intensifying negotiations for a ceasefire and the withdrawal of Israelis onto the streets holding signs demanding a halt to the ceasefire and calling for the overthrow of the Israeli government.

The Al-Qassam Brigades, according to their official Telegram channels, launched a surprise attack in the Nitzarim - Maghazi - Zaitoun neighborhood, resulting in significant casualties to increase pressure to achieve Hamas's goals in the Egyptian negotiations.

Furthermore, the Al-Qassam Brigades announced the targeting of the headquarters of the southern axis "Nitzarim" with heavy caliber mortar shells. They had previously announced the targeting of a military barracks in the Nitzarim axis with mortar shells.

Settlers also reported a serious security incident in the Gaza Strip, but no detailed information was provided about the event.

According to the Palestinian Safa Agency, a number of injured were transported by five military helicopters for evacuation, with Safa adding that the evacuation helicopter "669" transported soldiers wounded from Gaza to Beilinson Hospital, indicating a significant number of casualties in the Israeli army.

All of this comes after today's intensification of negotiations in Egypt between Hamas and Israel, with Hamas announcing its agreement to the first phase of the deal, marking significant progress in negotiations regarding prisoner exchange.

As Israeli media reported that Hamas had agreed to the first step of a ceasefire and prisoner exchange with Israel. The whole three-stage accord depends on an American promise for a total Israeli military departure from Gaza within 124 days. 

Channel 12 quoted an unidentified Hamas official as saying the American promise was delivered via Egyptian and Qatari mediators, who would meet with Hamas leaders in Cairo on Saturday.
