ALBAWABA - Zendaya's new tennis film "Challengers" is poised to dominate the box office, which is a huge success for the actress, even if reviews have been divided.

According to Deadline, the film is expected to have an opening weekend gross of $8 million, roughly double the second highest grossing picture, "Unsung Hero," which is slated to have an opening of $15.2 million.

The site is cautioning the producers of "Challengers" not to get their hopes up just yet, since the projected budget of $50 million+ is significantly more than $15 million.

However, if you're still curious According to Deadline, Post Trak, a tracking company that surveys moviegoers as they exit the theatre, verified that Zendaya is drawing a large crowd. Reportedly, she was the reason why 55% of respondents showed up.

But it's still not quite apparent whether those viewers liked the movie. While just 77% of moviegoers expressed satisfaction with the film, 88% of reviewers did so on Rotten Tomatoes.

Although 77% is still a respectable percentage, the fact that one out of four critics gave the film a negative review doesn't exactly auger well for the film's potential to draw in spectators.

Naturally, the sexual tension in the trailer—specifically, the moment when two guys kiss Zendaya's neck—has made many people familiar with the film. Because of it, people have been marking their calendars for quite some time now. Maybe the first viewers had their expectations for the film too high.

The film has already won this weekend's box office battle, but some critics are already critiquing it!
