ALBAWABA - After Kuwaiti media personality Halima Boland was sentenced to two years in prison and a fine of two thousand Kuwaiti dinars (equivalent to $6,498 USD) on charges of incitement to debauchery.

Halima Boland's lawyer Maryam Al-Bahr revealed details about what happened to her client and published a video clip explaining that the ruling was issued nearly a year after the case began.

The lawyer confirmed that the plaintiff, who filed a complaint against her client Boland, accusing her of inciting debauchery and immorality through photos and videos, received the same sentence as Boland: imprisonment with execution and a 2,000 Kuwaiti dinar fine.

She explained that Halima Boland did not know the defendant at first, but he became acquainted with her with the intention of marrying her and communicated with her via the WhatsApp application, noting that he sent his own pictures and expressed flirtation and love, indicating that the two parties conversed and exchanged pictures.
Al-Bahr confirmed that the plaintiff illegally obtained the video clips and pictures, noting that during their acquaintance, the plaintiff was able to seize Boland's private phone and obtain clips and photos of her.

Halima Boland allegedly faces a harsh ultimatum: either marry or pay a large sum of half a million dollars to settle her lawsuit. This comes after her counsel addressed her case on social media.
