ALBAWABA - Just hours after the financial director of McDonald's revealed that the boycott is still having an effect on sales this year in the Middle East, the fast food giant's value plummeted by $7 billion.

In reaction to the brutal assault on the Gaza Strip by the Israeli occupying entity, an increasing number of Arab nations and individuals across the globe have joined the chorus of those who reject and boycott Israeli goods and services. Some have emerged in favor of its continuation and expansion, calling for the constant replacement of these companies' goods with others.

In response to what they see as McDonald's apparent backing of the Zionist regime's policies in Gaza, the Muslim world has been on a boycott campaign against the fast food chain since October of last year.

The average loss for McDonald's in a single day was $6.87 billion, as shares fell more than 3% yesterday, the worst daily decrease in five weeks.

This slump follows Ian Borden's prediction that overseas sales will fall this quarter as a result of slow demand in China and ongoing tensions in the Middle East.

In the face of persistent boycotts, the owner of the biggest restaurant chain in the world, McDonald's, has suffered a string of successive losses.
